Any recommended resources for a crash course in Boolean, or am I on my own?

Don't think I'm giving too much away considering Manda has already mentioned them to the world...

Don't worry too much about Boolean. I have no idea what "xor" means in this context, but I figured it out anyway.

Just figure out which rules to follow to combine the three pictures in a row so that the resulting picture shows a number.
(The rules for the first two are easy. Just note that one has too much black and the other too much white, and what rule you must follow to deal with that. The third is more complicated, but then you can deduce at leas one thing from the other two.)

Sorry, that last post wasn't much of an explanation. I'll try again.

AND means that a square is only white in the solution if it's white in column1 AND column 2 AND column 3. All other little squares are black.
OR means it's white in the solution if it's white in column 1 OR column 2 OR column 3 OR several.
XOR means it's only white in the solution if it's white in exactly one of the columns (either 1 or 2 or 3, but not several of them).

Can anyone give me a hint on the cryptogram riddle? I have already solved the cryptogram part but can't seem to make any further progress. so far nothing i have tried has worked. Have you ever been working on a puzzle and think you have an answer but it's wrong but you're brain keeps telling you no it's that and nothing else so you can't see any other possibilities... Errol what have you done to my poor brain! other than get it to actually finish a cryptogram for once.

Is this number 13? If so... lay out the key from start to end... and read it. 😀
