Comic 525 – “Troopers”
Errol: We had this argument on Saturday. Debs had a fun idea to invite Carlos and Leslie, members from her ‘other’ band, to come up and do backup vocals.
Debs: Former other band
However, we wanted them in costume but we didn’t have the helmets from the Imperial Guard. But we had access to Clone Trooper helmets. In the end, I couldn’t get it anyway, but still. We argued. As we do. The show was great, btw. We had a crazy amount of fun!
I believe the correct phrase here is “Pictures or it didn’t happen” ;D
We have pics on our facebook account!
I can’t see any of them showing the trooper helmets- so that bit has not yet been proven to exist…
Oh, that’s what I get for skim-reading… You didn’t get the helmets in the end anyway- such a shame.
I prefer Vids or we don’t buy it. :: Grins::
And @ Liz, Re yesterday: I am not trying to compete with you, promise!
Also depicted: Errol’s knitting habits. He literally doesn’t stop these days, it was kinda freaky to see…
…which is why he should write a song about knitting.
I am still amused that the same Errol that has a wing-it attitude about just about everything…including having informed factual discussions on the podcast…was hung-up on the details re: which helmet would be setting appropriate for the context of the song.
Things have to make sense.
Then why don’t you.
Nice comeback!
It makes sense to me…
*resists urge to make bad pun*
So what songs did you do in the end?
AT-ATs in the Snow
Can You Feel the Force Tonight
Tie After Tie
Hopefully, I’ll get the post up tomorrow from the show!
I thought the Jedi who don’t do anything had won….
We could figure a way out to sing that to you!
I’d gone back and looked the other day to see what they’d sung. “Can you feel the force tonight” had had more votes in the end. Some how….
I should have worked harder to be certain my whole family came back in and voted again
THAT WOULD ROCK! Then I get to hear both! Cool!
After reading 500+ comics, this is the one on which I post? I made a Jedi doll for Christmas! So then I had to make another Jedi doll for my other son while driving to a dance workshop with the commander of the local 501st. She seemed to enjoy the thought of having a jedi head in the back seat. So now I have to make a storm trooper doll. I think we are going to use duct tape as a base for the armor. Costumes are easier for 16″ people. I think I am only posting this because you knit faster than I do and I was feeling inadequate. But I think I have an idea for how to make a doll sized senate guard helmet. If you change the color itcan be imperial guard.
I don’t knit faster! Those Totoro dolls are easy. And when I say all I do is knit, that’s closer to truth than it isn’t.
I love knitting.
