Comic 610 – “Promo Shyness”Posted on April 16, 2013 by Errol • 13 Comments Errol: We have this talk, Debs and I. And yes, we saw Amanda Palmer’s TED talk, but it still doesn’t make it any easier. Well, I actually suggested my ideal parody song a year or so ago- turning “The sound of silence” by Simon and Garfunkel into “The Sound of Cylons”… Wold probably want Debs to work on the lyrics, and not only because she’s seen all of BSG but also because we need to channel some real terror through the lyrics otherwise it’ll fall short of what my mental image of the song is…
Intriguing. I once wrote a BSG parody of “Good Morning Baltimore” called “Good Morning Battlestar.” I’ve never performed it, mainly because I don’t really have the voice for it, and it’s not exactly a uke-friendly song (I play the piano, but keyboards are heavy, and I don’t have a car). However, I rather enjoyed creating it.
Hee hee, I like it. 😀
I’ve previously suggested a few things, but maybe Jar Of Hearts = Kingdom Hearts parody? I was going to do a We Didn’t Start The Fire parody for FAWM, feel free to have fun with that too 🙂
Yes, I still need to work on the other song. 😀
My dream would be to have a Viva La Vida parody about knitting or NASCAR or even potatoes! Of course I can’t create it, though, since I have no musical talent. xD
ROFL. Nascar, knitting, or potatoes. Very odd three things to put together.
*laugh* True… hard to find the relating thread in that one. 😀
I used to knit and write
And eat potatoes, too
But when NASCAR came on
I started ignoring you.
eh, was that hard?
and now I know when you’re not around.
You are on NASCAR. 😀
Posting from the ipad, one more parody idea – The Freshmen for The X-Men…..
I think Paradise by Coldplay would make a great gaming parody Pair of Dice
Or “Almost Paradise” because I’m an 80’s freak.
